The Double Block & Bleed (DBB) Ball Valve is a specialized valve designed to provide a high level of safety and reliability in piping systems. It features two independent sealing surfaces (the "double block") that prevent the flow of media in either direction, along with a bleed port that allows for the safe venting of trapped fluids between the two sealing surfaces. This design is particularly useful in applications where the isolation of a section of the pipeline is required for maintenance or safety reasons, ensuring that the system can be safely drained or vented.

Design Features


  • Floating or trunnion mounted ball valves in main bore, each valve is bi-directional and designed for full differential pressure at ambient and low temperature. For main bore valve general features see the ball valve sections (floating ball or trunnion ball).
  • Full die forged structure for all pressure containing parts.
  • Integral body comprising of two ball valves through main bore with a needle bleed valve from the cavity between the two ball valves. Housing design can be split body or end entry (end entry cannot be feasible for all range).
  • Standard primary gasket design is Lip-Seal type, secondary emergency seal always provided for fire-safe purpose.
  • High quality sealing products and reduced leakage points.
